NYSERDA & National Grid Offer Hudson Incentives for Electric Vehicles
The Economic Development Committee of the City of Hudson, led by Fourth Ward Alderman Rich Volo, anticipates mid-October opening of three electric vehicle charger stations – six ports – installed in the municipal parking lot behind City Hall and funded by a $24,000 grant from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s (NYSERDA) Charge Ready NY program and a $22,000 grant from National Grid for construction costs.
Mayor Rick Rector said, “The City of Hudson is grateful to NYSERDA and National Grid for their financial assistance establishing the first City of Hudson vehicle charging stations and parking spots. Special thanks to Alderman Volo for his role in achieving these two grants and to the Economic Development Committee for this important project for the city.”
