City of Hudson Mourns the Passing of Firefighter Mark Graziano

The City of Hudson Department of Fire regretfully announces death of Firefighter Mark A. Graziano, 47 years old, of J.W. Hoysradt Hose Co. #8 May 9th, 2018.

He is survived by his daughter Natalie, son Alan, Grandson Nicholas, and his sisters Jennifer and Tammy. He was predeceased by his wife Deborah.

Mark joined the Hudson Fire Department at age 14 as an Explorer and became a Firefighter at age 18 in 1989. Mark was a past Captain and served as the Hudson Fire Department Medical Officer for several years.

Mark was also Charter member of Hudson Fire Department Dive/Rescue Team and served with the Columbia County
Hazardous Materials team.

He was awarded the Hudson Fire Department Life Saving Award in 2016 and honored by the Columbia County Volunteer Firefighters Association for rescuing a drowning victim from Oakdale Lake in the city. Mark, in his capacity of Rescue Diver located an adult male victim in 26 feet of water and removed him to Paramedics who successfully
resuscitated him.

VISITATION WILL BE AS FOLLOWS

4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Monday May 14, 2018 at the City of Hudson Central Fire Station with full fire department honors.

7:00 pm - Services will be conducted by the Chaplains from the City of Hudson Fire Department and J.W. Hoysradt Hose Co. #8

After the services a procession will be held for Firefighter Graziano from the Central Station to the Hoysradt Hose station located at 515 Warren St. where Mark will be honored with his final call. The procession will proceed east on Warren St, to Prospect Ave, Columbia St, Fairview Ave, Green St stopping briefly at his residence. The procession
will conclude at the Bates and Anderson - Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home. Please see this link for procession map. There will be parking restrictions.

After cremation, burial will be conducted at Cedar Park Cemetery. Time and date of burial will be announced.
